New Central Agency: SD126 ‘TAKARA’

We are proud to announce the central agency listing of 38m Sanlorenzo SD126 ‘TAKARA’ which was sold by Sanlorenzo Spain and delivered to her owner in 2016. ‘TAKARA’ is the 12 hull of the Sanlorenzo SD126 model, a four deck semi displacement motor yacht with a length of just under 38 metres. The SD126 is the largest fibreglass yacht that Sanlorenzo produces. She is the flagship of the ‘SD’ semi-displacement range which combines Sanlorenzo’s heritage lines, technological innovations and impressive autonomy at sea. To date 17 Sanlorenzo SD126 units have been sold and delivered to their owners.

As with each Sanlorenzo yacht built since 1958, the interior of the Sanlorenzo SD126 ‘TAKARA’ was the result of a series of long consultations between Sanlorenzo Spain, the Sanlorenzo design team and her owner, an experienced yachtsman who commissioned this uniquely customised yacht in 2015. ’TAKARA's contemporary interior draws upon subtle Japanese influences - hence her name, which is Japanese for ‘treasure’. Her luxurious five cabin layout sleeps a maximum of 12 guests in a large Owner’s Stateroom on her main deck and a VIP stateroom, double cabin and two twin cabins with additional pullman beds on her lower deck.

She features an elegant selection of unique pieces of art which serve to complement her interior scheme, such as the sculpture on the coffee table by Lorenzo Acquaviva, a framed artwork in her dining area by Franco Ionda (selected at the Tornabuoni Art Gallery in Florence) and a large abstract work by Massimiliano Luchetti in her owner’s stateroom. This sophisticated floating villa also features precious handmade pure silk rugs in every cabin, hand knotted to 100,000 knots per square metre and stitched into place on board by an expert craftsman.

Vintage lighting elements, such as the 1960s floor lamp in the saloon, were intentionally selected to complement the materials selected for this yacht. Her walls are in natural teak with horizontal grain and sections in aniline dyed leather with parquet flooring made from sideways-mounted rosewood slats. The screens in the main salon and ceiling panels are comprised of oxidized bronze and are combined with sections of Rimex stainless steel mirrored bronze. Open plan interior cabins with en suite bathrooms are filtered from view by draped curtains which contributes to a more scenic and spacious effect in each cabin. This customised design contrasts other Sanlorenzo SD126 yachts, which traditionally feature glazed sliding doors to separate the cabin from the bathroom environment.

The décor selected by her owner has been combined with nautical innovations to ensure practicality while at sea. Her dining table has an ergonomic central base while the chairs are stackable to allow greater flexibility, allowing alternative configurations based on the number of guests on board at the time. She features separate accommodation and facilities for up to 7 crew on board - 5 crew berths on her lower deck and an additional 2 berths available in her captain’s cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse on her upper deck, allowing excellent service at all times while at sea.

‘TAKARA’ is powered by twin MTU 12V2000 M72 1469 HP engines and features an extensive extras list including CMC Electric Stabilisers with Zero Speed Function. She is built to RINA Commercial Class. ‘TAKARA’ is asking 12,500,000 EUR, VAT Not Paid with Spanish matriculation tax paid and was recently on display at Cannes Yachting Festival (11th - 16th of September).
